Phoenix Testlab establishes subsidiary in Taiwan

Subsidiary should expand the Asian business

Phoenix Testlab is expanding.  On June 18 the Phoenix Testlab Ltd. in Taiwan started its operations.  With this step the company plans to expand its certification business in the Asian market.

„The establishment of the company subsidiary in Taiwan was purposefully prepared“, declares Dr. Altmaier, Managing Director of Phoenix Testlab GmbH. The company already maintains a representation on the Asian market since 2011.

Since then Dr. Alan Lane is responsible for for the certification business in China and Taiwan and will now continue to promote the expansion in the newly founded subsidiary.

The focus of his work will be the certification of electrical and electronic products. Nearly one quarter of the worldwide supply of electronic products is manufactured in China. The U.S. are the most important export partner for China with a market share of 17 %, closely followed by Europe with 15 %. The total export volume of China in 2014 was ca. 2,400 billion USD.[1].

Phoenix Testlab has own certification bodies for the European, Japanese and North American markets and therefore is an important strategic partner for Asian manufacturers of electric and electronic products.

Outside the U.S. Phoenix Testlab is the biggest[2] telecommunication certification body for the U.S.-market.
